Huawei Flagship Smartphone Ascend D2 to Hit Indian Stores Soon

Chinese technology firm, Huawei is reportedly prepping to launch the company's flagship 5.0-inch smartphone, Ascend D2 in the Indian market.

The Indian arm of the telecom company has updated its product portfolio with the new Ascend D2 as 'Coming Soon', almost confirming that the device launch is just around the corner.

Just a month ago, Huawei had released monster 6.1-inch Ascend Mate in India with a price-tag of ₹24,900, and now the smaller sibling, Ascend D2 is getting ready to hit the stores.   

It is to be noted that the Chinese firm had unveiled the Ascend D2 along with Ascend Mate in January this year at the international trade fair CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2013 in Las Vegas.

Ascend D2 sports a 5.0-inch Super Retina full HD LCD screen with 1920x1080p resolutions having pixel density close to 441 ppi (pixels per inch) and runs on Android v4.1 Jelly Bean OS.

Under the hood, it houses 1.5GHz quad-core processor with 2GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt memory powered by a high capacity 3000 mAh battery. Ascend D2 flaunts a stunning 13.0-megapixel main camera with BSI sensor, auto-focus and HDR, whereas on the front side, it sports 1.3-megapixel HD 720p camera.

It is reported that Ascend D2 may be priced around ₹30,000 or even less, posing a serious threat to the MNCs as well as local smartphone makers in the subcontinent.
