Chinese telecommunication major, Huawei has launched a mid-range handset dubbed as Ascend Y5300 in Germany.
The new Huawei handset sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA TFT LCD display with 854x480p resolutions and ships with Android v4.3 Jelly Bean OS with custom UI Emotion out-of-the-box.
Under the hood, it packs a dual-core Snapdragon 200 series CPU, 512MB RAM, 4GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32GB), a 5.0-megapixel main camera (with LED flash and auto focus), a VGA (0.3-megapixel) front camera and a 1750 mAh battery, which can provide back for up to 640 minutes of talk time and 612 hours under standby time.
The company has confirmed that the Ascend Y530 would be released initially in Germany in March for €149 (around ₹12,610). However, there is no word on when the new phone would be made available in other global markets.
With the release, Ascend Y530 joins the company's mid-range smartphone line which includes - Ascend Y511, Y320, Y220, Y300, Y201D and others.
Touted as the world's third biggest smartphone maker, Huawei has increased its foot print in international market. The Chinese firm gained highest year-on-year growth compared to the leaders (Samsung and Apple), according to IDC.
