Huawei's mid-range feature-rich smartphone Ascend P1, which was globally unveiled in early 2012, is now available at Indian online stores.
Flipkart is currently selling the Ascend P1 for ₹12,290, whereas another e-retailer Infibeam is offering the same handset for an additional ₹200.
The Huawei smartphone sports a 4.3-inch super AMOLED screen with qHD 960x540p resolutions and comes endowed with a high-end main camera with 8.0-megapixel having dual-LED flash support, auto-focus features and even has the ability to record full HD 1080x1920p video. It flaunts a pretty descent 1.3-megapixel secondary camera on the front.
In terms of internal hardware, it packs 1.5GHz dual-core processor, PowerVR SGX540 GPU, 1GB RAM and 4GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32GB). Ascend P1 runs on the Android v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS powered by 1800 mAh Li-Polymer battery.
Earlier in the week, Sony too released a similar feature-rich handset - Xperia M - for ₹12,990 in India. It sports scratch resistant 4.0-inch TFT screen with 854x480p display resolutions and features Android v4.1 Jelly Bean OS1GB RAM, 4GB storage space, Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus dual-core processor which can clock CPU speed close to 1GHz and also boasts Adreno 305 graphics engine.
