HTC has unveiled a new variant of its flagship One M9 to celebrate the Champions League finale between FC Barcelona and Juventus. The match is scheduled for 6 June in Berlin and HTC has engraved all the details on the rear panel of its 24-karat gold limited edition One M9. The shiny gold rear panel also bears the Champions League logo just above the HTC logo and the details of the match are engraved at the bottom.
But that's not all that grabbed the attention of Twitterati when the company shared the first official look via its Twitter account. In one of the photos, the reflection on the rear panel of the limited edition HTC One M9 revealed the photo was taken using an iPhone 6. While it created quite a buzz, HTC quickly pulled down the image and tweeted the launch with just two photos.

As for the specs, HTC One M9 limited edition remains pretty much the same. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB RAM and packs 32GB onboard storage with expandable memory of up to 128GB via microSD card. The handset features the same 5-inch Full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection and features an impressive 20MP primary camera. The entire body is sealed with aluminium, which houses a 2,840mAh battery inside. HTC One M9 runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
HTC did not reveal any information about the pricing and the availability of the limited edition Gold HTC One M9, but since the final Champions League match is on Saturday, more details are likely to emerge sooner than later.
