Android consumers are in for a surprise as rumors point that HTC is planning to release a super smartphone.
Reportedly called as HTC One XXL based on its predecessor HTC One XL, the device is expected to come with 4.7-inch 720p screen, 8-megapixel camera, 1.8-megapixel secondary camera, a quad-core processor with Snapdragon S4 with Krait cores, 2GB of RAM and an Adreno 320 GPU plus LTE connectivity.
When comparing the available specs of HTC One XXL to that of Samsung Galaxy S3, Galaxy S3 has 4.8-inch 720p Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 1 GB RAM, 8-megapixel camera, quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A9 processor and Mali-400MP plus LTE connectivity. However, the US version of the smartphone comes with 2 GB RAM.
The present HTC One XL version features a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor which is compatible with LTE network. The dual-core smartphones have become ideal devices for LTE supported handsets. Also the quad-core processors supported by HTC One X device is presently not compatible with LTE.
Meanwhile, rumor should be taken with a pinch of salt as the anonymous source claims that the device will feature Adreno 350 GPU while Qualcomm's documents claims that the APQ8064 is paired with the Adreno 320.
