Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC launched the much-awaited HTC One smartphone in New York City and London on Tuesday.
"People today immerse themselves in a constant stream of updates, news, and information. Although smartphones are one of the main ways we stay in touch with the people and information we care about, conventional designs have failed to keep pace with how people are actually using them," said Peter Chou, CEO of HTC Corporation.
"A new, exciting approach to the smartphone is needed and with the new HTC One, we have re-imagined the mobile experience from the ground up to reflect this new reality." he added.
One of the main features of 'HTC One' is its 2.0 ultra-pixel rear camera (equivalent to 4.0-megapixel), but don't get fooled by the number. The company claims that its camera is more futuristic than conventional high-resolution camera totting smartphones.
The company says that its custom-build camera features a f/2.0 aperture lens and a breakthrough sensor with UltraPixels that can absorb 300 percent more light than any other smartphone camera sensors. The camera also features a dedicated imaging chip and multi-axis optical image stabilization to ensure smoother video footage during the move or at a stationary position.
