It's been more than a month since the Taiwanese electronics major HTC launched its flagship smartphone HTC One with much fanfare at two events hosted simultaneously in New York City and London but had to postpone its distribution due to snag in production.

HTC's new smartphone was expected to make its debut in North America and Europe by mid-March, and other select Asian market by March end, but it had to postpone availability in UK and other European countries indefinitely due to staggered production line.

Many tech media had claimed that the procurement of HTC One's ultra-pixel camera component was main culprit behind the shipments delay and speculations were rife that HTC might even postpone the release to May in tier-2 regions.

However surprisingly, in a quick turn of events, HTC on Friday announced the availability of flagship smartphone HTC One in UK, Germany and Taiwan next week.

Here is the extract of HTC's official announcement:

"HTC has seen unprecedented demand for and interest in the new HTC One, and the care taken to design and build it is evidenced in early reviews. The new HTC One will roll out in the UK, Germany and Taiwan next week and across Europe, North America and most of Asia-Pacific before the end of April. We appreciate our customers' patience, and believe that once they have the phone in their hands they will agree that it has been worth the wait."

Even though there is no mention of availability date in India in the press note, there is slight chance of HTC One hitting Indian shores in April end along with Asia-pacific regions.

Earlier, when the HTC One was unveiled, many tech critics had appreciated the smartphone's Aluminum uni-body chassis, High-definition Super LCD 3 display with 468 pixels per inch resolution and it most striking feature ultra-pixel camera.

'HTC One' sports a 2.0 -ultra-pixel rear camera (equivalent to 4.0-megapixel), the smartphone houses custom build camera lens with f/2.0 aperture and a state-of-art sensor with 'UltraPixels' that can absorb 300 percent more light than any other smartphone camera sensors.

The main camera also features a dedicated imaging chip and multi-axis optical image stabilization to ensure smoother video footage taken during the move or stationary position.
