The Indian arm of HTC is reportedly planning to release the company's flagship phablet HTC One Max into the market next week.
HTC India country head, Faisal Siddiqui while attending an event at Hyderabad said that the company would be launching the HTC One Max for around ₹56,000 along with two accessories - HTC One Mini+, a multi-tasking secondary phone device for ₹5,000 and HTC Fetch, a keychain sized phone tracker for ₹2,500, reported Business Standard.
Siddiqui added that the firm has also chalked out plans to release at least two to four 'Desire' branded mid-range phones by the end of the year and has envisioned to capture 15-percent market share in India.
HTC One Max made its global debut last month. It sports a mammoth 5.9-inch full HD (1920x1080p) super LCD 3 screen with pixel density of 373 ppi (pixels per inch) and runs on the Android v4.3 Jelly Bean OS with Sense v5.5 custom user-interface.
Beside the big display, HTC phablet packs pretty much the same hardware components seen inside the original HTC One sans the battery. It packs 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 CPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB/32GB storage, 2.0-Ultrapixel main camera, 2.1-megapixel camera front-facing camera and 3300 mAh battery.
It is to be noted that HTC One Max is one of the only two handsets in the industry to boast of a fingerprint sensor, the other being the Apple's 2013 flagship model iPhone 5S, which made its India debut a couple of weeks ago.
