HTC is tight-lipped on the release date of its upcoming flagship smartphone, the HTC One (M9), but several features of the purported device have surfaced over the last few weeks. Now, China-based HTC leaker @upleaks has tweeted key specifications of the device besides claiming that its codename is "Hima."
According to @upleaks, the HTC One (M9), codenamed "Hima," will be unveiled in March 2015. It went on to claim that the device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor clocking at 2.0GHz and 1.5GHz, come packed with 3GB RAM, 5-inch Full HD display, 20.7MP main camera and 13MP or UltraPixel 4MP front snapper, 2840mAh battery, Android 5.0 Lollipop, and HTC Sense 7.
However, My Drivers website (via PhoneArena) had earlier reported that the HTC One (M9) might sport a 5.5-inch display with 2K screen resolution, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and have a 16MP camera with Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS). It added that the new device might come packed with a 64GB internal memory, microSD up to 128GB and 3GB RAM, 3,500mAh battery, and BOSE duel speakers.
The specifications of HTC's upcoming flagship smartphone are not confirmed, as the Taiwanese technology giant is yet to open up on its new device. However, it won't come as a surprise if these features are seen in the device when it is released.
Meanwhile, the HTC One (M9) is expected to hit the stores in the first quarter of 2015. Several reports have claimed that it would be unveiled at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC 2015) to be held in Spain from 2 to 5 March.
