There has been a lot of buzz around HTC's upcoming flagship smartphone and new leaks bring more excitement to the table. After several rumours and leaked reports outlining HTC HIMA's specs over the past several weeks, there are new snapshots that give a close-up of the alleged flagship that is expected to be released next week at the CES 2015 event.
BGR spotted the new photos of the HTC One M9 on a Chinese site, ZOL, offering the best look at the unreleased handset. Design-wise, the rear side of the handset looks almost same as its predecessor, HTC One M8. On the front side, HIMA seems to have gone through a slight change. It looks like HTC has replaced the two distinct compartments housing the BoomSound speakers on the front panel with a single glass display covering the entire front portion.
The speakers have gone lower on both sides and the side bezels have become slimmer, like they are almost inexistent. But HTC is largely sticking to its signature design, which has won a lot of appreciation from consumers and critics alike.
Besides the stunning design, HTC is expected to pack some top-of-the-line specs. If the previous reports are to be believed, the HTC One M9 will feature 5-inch Quad HD display with a screen resolution of 2,560x1,440 pixels. There will be Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 810 processor lighting up the device along with 3GB RAM. The HTC HIMA will have a massive upgrade on the camera front, with a 20.7mp rear facing camera and a 13mp front snapper.
It is almost evident that the new HTC flagship will run Google's Android 5.0 and pack a massive 2,840mAh battery.
There are conflicts about the release of the handset but rumours point towards CES 2015 release next week. Nothing is officially confirmed by HTC so there is a possibility the One M9 will see a later release in March.
