HTC is tight-lipped on its upcoming flagship device, dubbed the One M10, aka Perfume, but several details of the device, including specifications, have been leaked over the last few weeks.
It was rumoured that HTC One M10 (Perfume) would be unveiled at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2016 (MWC 2016), which will start on 22 February, but a report by ItHome (via Gsmdome) has claimed it will be announced at a separate event in March before being released in April.
HTC One M9 failed to make a big impact in the market, unlike its predecessors, and fans thought it lacked innovation. So, expectations from the upcoming next-generation smartphone are high, and gadget-lovers will be expecting an overhaul from design to specifications.
According to reports, HTC One M10 will sport a 5.1-inch QHD display with a 1,440x2,560 pixels, and has an IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. Under the hood, it is expected to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, an Adreno 530 GPU, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with HTC Sense 8.0 UI, 64GB/128GB internal storage with a microSD card slot, 4GB RAM, a 23MP main camera, and a 3,500mAh battery.
On the other hand, HTC One M9 has a 5-inch Super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen with 1,080x1,920 pixel resolution (441 ppi pixel density). Under the hood, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, an Adreno 430 GPU, Android 6.0 Marshmallow (upgraded via OTA) with HTC Sense UI 7.0, 32GB internal memory (expandable up to 200GB), 3GB RAM, a 20MP main camera with f/2.2, 1/2.4" sensor size and 1.2 µm pixel size, a 4MP front-snapper with f/2.0, 27mm, 1/3" sensor size and 2µm pixel size, and a non-removable Li-Po 2,840mAh battery.
At the moment, one has to take the specifications of HTC One M10 with a pinch of salt, as the Taiwanese technology leader is yet to announce them officially, but if they turn out to be true, the phone will be superior to its predecessor in all departments.
