The HTC One smartphone was finally launched in the US markets on Friday. Now, the Taiwanese tecchnology firm has to shift focus to make sure that its flagship smartphone makes it way to Asia's fast growing markets - India and China - before rival Samsung steals the thunder with its popular-selling Galaxy S4.

It's been almost two months since HTC unveiled its HTC One. The device was supposed to hit UK and US markets by the second week of March. The company had to face a lot of criticism as the delivery of shipments to the Western markets were delayed due to shortage of components in its factory unit.

In order to counterbalance the supply constraints, the company had no option but to push the availability date of its flagship smartphone in Asian markets.

A couple of weeks ago, in a surprising turn of event, HTC India on 8 April launched the HTC One in the subcontinent. The company also announced that the device would hit stores by April end for ₹42,900. According to reports, Samsung is also making arrangements to launch the Galaxy S4 on 25 April and make it available by 27 April.

Indian online retailer Saholic has listed HTC One (32GB) for ₹42,900 on its website. It has also mentioned that the device will be available by 7 May, contradicting April-end release as claimed by HTC.

Another e-commerce website E-Bay has also put the coveted HTC phone (32GB) on its website with an exorbitant price tag of ₹80,000. It also states that the seller company, Vmmobile, will directly import HTC One from the US and the device will be delivered within three days of online payment transaction.

By taking note of the HTC smartphone prices quoted by these two online shops, buyers are advised to wait for the official release in retail stores which are expected to sell HTC One for a much cheaper price.

HTC One has received appreciation by tech critics across the world for its superior Aluminum uni-body build quality and innnovative Ultra-Pixel main camera which is capable of absorbing up to 300 percent more light than any other camera phone in the industry and it is touted as best Android smartphone in the current market.

Many Indian fans are waiting with bated breath to get their hands on the coveted super phone HTC One and are hoping that the Taiwan smartphone maker won't disappoint them by further delaying the launch in the subcontinent.
