Taiwanese smartphone maker, HTC is reportedly planning to launch two new handsets - HTC One E8 and Desire 616 in India this week.
HTC has begun sending out invites for the launch event in New Delhi on 11 July, which is expected to witness the launch of the recently unveiled devices One E8 and Desire 616, reported AndroidOS.in. However, the company is yet to confirm the devices that will be announced in the event.
HTC's One E8 is the plastic variant of the flagship HTC One M8; it comes with the sleek (9.45 mm thickness) ergonomic uni-body based design language like its high-end models, sans the usage of metal; instead it flaunts a synthetic polycarbonate body.
Under the hood, it houses pretty much same internal hardware sans camera specifications seen inside the marquee phone HTC One (M8). It sports a 5.0-inch full HD display and runs on the Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS powered by Snapdragon 801 series CPU, Adreno 330 graphics engine, 2GB, 16GB internal storage (expandable), and a 2,600 mAh battery. It also boasts of HTC's extreme power saving mode feature to keep the phone running for a longer time. The HTC phone houses a 13.0-megapixel primary camera on the rear side and a 5.0-megapixel snapper on the front. Both the cameras have the ability to take full HD videos.
On the other hand, HTC Desire 616 got unveiled just a few days ago. It is a mid-range phone featuring 5.0-inch HD (1280 x 720p) screen, Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS, 1.4GHz MediaTek processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32GB), 8.0-megapixel main camera, 2.0-megapixel snapper on the front and a 2,000 mAh battery.
Earlier this week, HTC officially unveiled the dual-SIM variant of One M8, so there is a chance of company releasing this model in India this week.
