HTC has finally started rolling out Google's latest operating system Android 7.0 Nougat update to its popular device, One A9 in India after months of waiting. Owners of the handset might have expected the firmware update a little early as their counterparts in the United States had received it in January this year and those in Europe got it last month. But it's better late than never.
The new software update for HTC One A9 comes after the Taiwanese technology giant seeded the Android 7.0 Nougat update to HTC 10, 10 Lifestyle and One M9 earlier this year.
The Android 7.0 Nougat update for HTC One A9 weighs about 1GB and the software version is 2.18.707.1, according to GSM Arena. The update brings system enhancement, bug fixes and latest Android security update.

Android 7.0 Nougat brings several features like multi-window, direct reply notifications, Extra power efficiency, Google Assistant, Data saver, and VR interface.
HTC has already released the new firmware to the HTC 10, 10 Lifestyle, HTC One A9 and HTC One M9 devices as promised but it is still not known if it will seed the OS to some of its popular handsets like the HTC Desire 820, HTC Desire 826, HTC ME, HTC One E9, HTC Butterfly 3, HTC M8 EYE, HTC 816, HTC One (M8 Eye), HTC One M8 and HTC One E8.
The company is tight-lipped on whether these devices will get the firmware, but we would like to believe that it will, and it should if we are to go by the past trends.
