Last week, HTC ended a month long video ad campaign with the release of fourth and final episode of Technical Translation, which explained HTC One marquee features, thereby kick starting the countdown for the 25 March launch of All New HTC One aka HTC M8.
With less than a week left before the HTC's 2014 marquee phone launch, many fans would be eager to know what new features will the upcoming HTC One successor boasts over its predecessor.
Going by the HTC's Technical Translation videos, four key features - Metal Unibody (airplane-grade Aluminum material), BoomSound dual-stereo speakers on the front, ULTRAPIXEL Camera and HTC Zoe camera application - are likely to be the most notable features, we might expect to see a bump in the upcoming HTC phone.
To help get a better perspective on the HTC M8 aka All New HTC One specifications, we have leafed through multiple reports and have put together a list of probable key features which are likely to make the cut.
Display and Design:
In 2013, HTC One heaped huge praise from critics and fans for its zero-gap uni-body design with metal back-cover. The phone was deservingly named as the 'Best New Mobile Device' by the GSM Association at MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2013 and later this year, same consortium awarded HTC One as the 'Best Smartphone' of 2013.
This time too the company is said to keep the same aesthetics for HTC M8, but with a little bump in display foot print. HTC One had 4.7-inch size, whereas its successor is expected to flaunt a 5.0-inch scratch-resistant screen with full HD (1920x1080p) resolutions.
Even the recently leaked HTC M8 brochure of Australian network carrier Telstra, also mentioned the same display specifications.
Processor, RAM and Storage Capacity:
Last week, HTC M8 Verizon model was inadvertently put up for sale at eBay, the snapshot of package posted by the seller showed that the device would boast the new 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 series processor, contradicting earlier reports which said that upcoming HTC phone would house an 800 series MSM8974 chipset.
Though there is no concrete proof to back the two theories, many would hope that HTC might choose newer 801series, if it plans to play level with the Samsung's new Galaxy S5 which also features same chipset.
HTC new phone is touted to pack minimum 2GB RAM and come in 16GB/32GB/64GB storage variants with microSD card slot giving expansion option up to 128GB.
Camera:
HTC One, despite stealing the title of Best smartphone of 2013, got panned for its over glorified UltraPixel camera technology. It failed to mask the sub-par 4.0-megapixel camera, which came short against the rivals like Nokia Lumia 1020 (41-megapixel camera), Galaxy S4 (13.0-megapixel camera) and Xperia Z1 (20.7-megapixel camera).
However, going by recent snapshots (courtesy: @evleaks) twirling in the media, The All New HTC One will see a huge change in camera specification. It is all but certain to boast two cameras on the back side with Dual-LED flash support.
Technology blog, Digi Tech while leafing through the Chinese telecommuication certification database TENAA, found a file pertaining to the HTC One successor. In the archive, it said that upcoming phone HTc M8 will have two cameras with combined resolution of 16.0-megapixel, while front-camera would boast the UltraPixel technology.
Another plus point of having dual-cameras is that the device's primary camera can focus on an object, while secondary snapper can focus its surrounding environment giving enhanced field of depth in the captured photo.
Mobile Operating System:
HTC One successor being a flagship model, in all probability will ship with the latest Android OS KitKat version (v4.4.2) along with the HTC's custom UI Sense v6.0.
Key features of KitKat OS include smarter caller ID, more organized message grouping Hangouts (now all text-SMS, audio and video chat will now be under one roof), quick access to settings, wireless printing (select HP printers), Quickoffice word document app, Bluetooth MAP (Message Access Profile) and many more.

According to twitter spy, HTCFamily, the new HTC phone is said to hit stores in 110 regions, two weeks after the unveiling day, that's three days ahead of the Galaxy S5's global release day (11 April).
