The release of J Butterfly smartphone in India is still under wraps, but market watchers predict that as the smartphone is releasing in the Asian markets first, it might hit Indian shores at least by December end or early 2013.
HTC released the same smartphone in the US through network carrier Verizon and named it 'Droid DNA'. Now, the smartphone maker has unveiled the global variant 'HTC Butterfly' (minus the J), reported Tech2 .
The specifications of the global variant are somewhat similar to J Butterfly but the new version has additional network bandwidth and some new features have been added to the camera.
There are speculations that HTC is already working on a new project code named 'M7'. According to sources close to HTC, the new smartphone would feature a 5.0-inch HD display with a 1920x1080-pixel resolution, a quad-core Qualcomm S4 Pro processor and a 13-megapixel camera, reported CNET.
The smartphone is expected to run on the latest Android OS version and sources have revealed that HTC is most likely to release the M7 smartphone in early 2013.
