As promised by the company, HTC India has started rolling out the Android Marshmallow to the mid-range smartphone, Desire 826, in the country.
The company took to its official India Facebook account to confirm the news. The new update comes with Doze power optimisation, new Now on Tap search option, and more secured booting process. It also brings a do-not-disturb option, performance tweaks, support for more languages, and many value-added features to enhance user experience on the Desire 826.
Besides the Android M features, the HTC device will get improved Sense UI.
To check for OTA (Over-The-Air) update notification on the Android phone,
Go to Settings >> About phone >> System updates
After updating, HTC Desire 826 will reboot to complete the installation procedure.
Since OTA process is carried out in stages, it may take a week or more to reach all corners of India.
As per the company, HTC One M9, One M8, One M9+, One E9, HTC One E9+, One ME, HTC One E8, One M8 EYE, HTC Butterfly 3, Desire 826, Desire 820 and Desire 816 are confirmed to get the Android Marshmallow.
