Taiwanese smartphone-maker HTC has launched a new mid-range handset dubbed as Desire 626 in India.
The new HTC Desire 626 sports a 5.0-inch HD (1280x720p) display and comes with a MediaTek (MT6752) octa-core SoC (System on Chip), 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory and a 2,000mAh battery.
It also boasts of a 13MP camera with LED flash on the rear and a 5MP front-snapper with full-HD video recording ability.

The company has reportedly confirmed that HTC Desire 626 will hit Indian stores in the coming weeks with a Rs 14,999 price tag. It will be available in two colours: blue lagoon and white birch.
Competition:
Going by the specifications and price, HTC Desire 626 will have a tough time competing with popular smartphones such as Motorola Moto G (3rd Gen), Moto G Turbo, Lenovo K4 Note, Coolpad Note 3, LeEco Le 1s and the soon-to-be-launched Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 in the mid-range segment.
