Taiwanese tech firm HTC may be tight-lipped about its upcoming HTC Zara smartphone, but that does not stop tech aficionados from creating buzz around the device.
HTC Zara has been in the rumour book for quite sometime. Now, latest reports suggest that HTC Zara aka 601 is tipped for launch in Q4. The news came from serial leakster @evleaks who tweeted that "HTC Zara will ship as the Desire 601." Earlier last week, @evleaks had posted a snapshot purported to be of HTC Zara. The image which showed the rear and front design of the smartphone, seemed similar in design with HTC's fast-selling One.
Regarding the specifications, HTC Zara is expected to come with a 4.5-inch qHD display with 540x960 pixel resolution powered by a dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Other specifications include a 2,100-mAh battery, 8-megapixel rear camera, a microSD card slot, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system and HTC Sense 5.5 user interface. Previous leaks suggested that the Zara smartphone which is similar to HTC 8X and 8S will come in a plastic frame.
