Besides launching the company's flagship HTC One M8, the Taiwanese smartphone maker has also announced the two new handsets - Desire 210 and Desire 816 in India.
Among the two phones, Desire 210 is an entry-level device. It features 4.0-inch WVGA (480x800p) display and ships with Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS, 1.0GHz MediaTek dual-core processor, 512MB RAM, 5.0-megapixel camera (no Flash support), a VGA camera on the front and a 1300 mAh battery.
On the other hand, Desire 816 is an upper mid-range smartphone, which made its global debut at MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2014 in February. It houses a big 5.5-inch HD (720x1280p) screen and runs on the Android OS with custom Sense UI powered by faster 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 series quad-core CPU, 1.5GB RAM and 8GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 128GB).
Desire 210 and Desire 816 come with a price tag of ₹8,700 and ₹23,990 respectively and are said to hit stores in few weeks time. Whereas, the company's marquee metal-clad phone HTC One M8 is expected to be made available in India on 7 May.
