After weeks of speculations, Taiwanese electronics major HTC has officially revealed the mid-range Desire 200 smartphone on its website today.
HTC Desire 200 sports a 3.5-inch HVGA display with 480x320p resolution and runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 processor with 1GHz CPU speed. It houses 512MB DDR1 RAM and 4GB in-built memory which can be expanded up to 32GB through microSD card.
HTC claims that Desire 200 will ship with Android OS with HTC Sense interface on top of it. However, the company fails to reveal the version of operating system. According to unconfirmed reports, the new smartphone is expected to run on the old v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.
The new mid-range smartphone will go on sale initially in its home market Taiwan for 4900 TWD (New Taiwan Dollar), close to ₹9,800 in Indian denominations.
