HTC announced that its much-awaited flagship device HTC 10 aka HTC One M10 would be simultaneously unveiled in New York, London and Taipei Tuesday.
HTC India has tweeted that the next-generation handset will also be unveiled in New Delhi at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The company is yet to reveal the exact release date, but it is expected to happen a few days after the unveiling event.
Interestingly, the smartphone manufacturer is reportedly releasing two variants of the HTC 10. Dutch website Techtastic (via GSM Arena) has claimed that a photo taken from an SD652-powered handset dubbed as the HTC 10 Lifestyle was shared on Google+. However, HTC hasn't hinted at the existence of such a variant.
A 50-second video showing a device, believed to be the 10, has been leaked. It was first spotted on XDA thread before being posted on Reddit, according to Gadget NDTV. The handset is seen with metal sides, a physical home button, a USB Type-C port, a headphone jack at the top, volume and power buttons at the right along with slots for SD card/SIM card, and two horizontal antennas.
According to reports that have surfaced so far, HTC 10 will have a 5.2-inch screen with 1,440x2,560 pixels, a 64GB/128GB internal memory (with microSD card slot), and a 3,000mAh battery. The device would have a 5.1-inch touchscreen with 2,560x1,440 pixels, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, an Adreno 530 GPU, an Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, a 32GB internal memory, a 4GB RAM, a 4GB RAM, a 12MP main camera and a 5MP front-snapper, according to GFXBench listing (via Winfuture).
Leakster LlabTooFeR has claimed in a tweet that HTC 10 may have a Sony IMX377 12MP main camera and a 5MP UltraPixel front-snapper. Interestingly, photographer Kisha Bari has hinted in a Twitter post that the upcoming next-generation smartphone could sport a front-snapper with OIS (optical image stabilisation) feature by sharing a photo claimed to have been taken with the OIS selfie camera.
