Hrithik Roshan's intense farmer avatar on the poster of "Mohenjo Daro" is making the wait till Aug. 12 seem difficult. While it looks every inch a blockbuster, its box office run may not be smooth as the epic adventure film may clash with three other important films.
The two South films Hrithik's next will lock horns with are Jr. NTR-starrer "Janatha Garage" and Naga Chaitanya's "Majnu" (which is a remake of hit Malayalam film "Premam"), BollywoodLife reported. However, the makers of "Majnu" haven't confirmed their release date yet.
The Hindi film that Hrithik's period film is up against is Akshay Kumar's "Rustom." This clash, although unfortunate, will be an interesting one as both the stars are major crowd-pullers and their films feature interesting premises.
Tinu Suresh Desai's "Rustom" is loosely based on the infamous Nanavati case of 1959, in which a naval officer was tried at the court for shooting his wife's lover. Esha Gupta and Illeana D'cruz are the leading ladies of this crime drama.
Ashutosh Gowariker's "Mohenjo Daro" will see its protagonist travel back in time. The USP of the project, from what has been reported so far, is its action sequences, in which Hrithik will be seen fighting wild beasts with bare hands.
"For 'Mohenjo Daro', I am travelling back in time. It has been a great journey, great experience. I really believe it is going to be one of my best films. I hope and pray that the audience also agrees with it when the film releases," the Press Trust of India quoted the actor as saying.
