Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam's "Kaabil" has got a release date, but has stiff competition at the box-office. Producer of the film Rakesh Roshan has blocked Jan. 26, 2017, but Ajay Devgn's "Baadshaho" is eyeing the date too.
"All the major release dates this year are already taken. So we've reserved January 26, 2017 as the release date for Kaabil. We are in no hurry to release our film," the producer told DNA. However, Devgn's project is yet to kick-start and there hasn't been an official announcement regarding the dates, which is why the box office clash, can, at best, be branded as speculation.
What's interesting to note is, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt's next "Shiv Ki Dulhania" too will hit screens during the Republic Day weekend next year. However, there's not been an update on this since the last time the news surfaced.
In other news, the buzz around "Kaabil" is phenomenal courtesy the fresh pairing of Hrithik and Gautam. While the actress cannot contain her excitement about the opportunity that's just landed in her kitty, the suave actor is recovering from a ligament tear he suffered on the sets of "Mohenjo Daro." Hrithik has been advised complete bed rest for a couple of weeks and has been undergoing extensive physiotherapy sessions.
"I think I am lucky to have this opportunity working with Hrithik. He is one of the biggest stars and finest actors that we have in the industry. And I am extremely looking forward to working on Kaabil and we are going start shooting next month," the "Sanam Re" actress told The Indian Express.
