Hrithik Roshan, who is busy shooting for Ashutosh Gowariker's "Mohenjo Daro", will start prepping for his next "Thug" soon.
Some reports doing the rounds suggest that the big budget film, produced by Yash Raj films (YRF), will see the Bollywood hunk play a dashing pirate captain. The film will revolve around the adventures of the pirate and his crew members.
Further, Hrithik's character will be along the lines of Johnny Depp's Captain Jack Sparrow in the "Pirates Of The Caribbean" series.
"YRF is working on two action dramas — Thug and Dhoom 4, both directed by Victor. The story of Thug is kept under wraps as Hrithik begins shooting for it from January next year. It's a fantasy film, set against a fictional historical setting, and revolves around the adventures of a dashing pirate captain (Hrithik) and his crew. Hrithik's character is something like Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) and what he plays in the Pirates Of The Caribbean (POTC) series," a source told DNA.
If the film turns out to be successful, YRF is planning to make a "Thug" series like that of their successful franchise of "Dhoom" series.
Reportedly, the honey-eyed actor is quite excited to play the pirate's character, and the shooting is expected to start from early next year.
If reports are to be believed then a massive set of a ship will be put up in YRF studio in a couple of months. However, it is still not known who will be playing the female lead opposite Hrithik.
