Last year, Hrithik Roshan and Sonam Kapoor captured millions of hearts with their "Dheere Dheere Se" song video. The video has now created a record by crossing 100 million views on YouTube. However, it achieved its first success when it crossed 50 million views in 36 days since the release.
Released on 1 September, the music video was created by T-Series chief Bhushan Kumar to pay tribute to the film "Aashiqui" as it completed 25 glorious years in 2015. The song is the remake of the 90s' romantic track with the same title from the movie.
Very few songs that have achieved such milestones in the Hindi film industry. On the other hand, in "Dheere Dheere", Hrithik and Sonam appeared on the screen for the first time. The duo complimented each other. The actors repotedly didn't charge a penny for the song.
Sung by Yo Yo Honey Singh, the entire song was shot in Antalya, Turkey, and the viewers saw some exotic locations in this four-minute-fifty-two-second-long video. Though the track was liked by many, the audience missed Hrithik's dance moves.
Meanwhile, the "Bang Bang" actor is shooting for Ashutosh Gowariker's "Mohenjo Daro". Due to this flick, the year 2015 didn't have any Hrithik's releases, except the "Dheere Dheere" music video. The actor is working with Gowariker for the second time after "Jodha Akbar".
For Sonam, the previous year brought success with her film "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo", which had Salman Khan in the lead. Now, she will feature in "Neerja", which is based on the life of flight attendant Neerja Bhanot, who was shot dead by terrorists during the Mumbai-New York flight hijack in Karachi on 5 September, 1986.
