Hrithik Roshan may romance Alia Bhatt in the long-gestating third instalment of the "Aashiqui" franchise. She isn't the first to be associated with the project; Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Kangana Ranaut were considered for the role once as well.
According to SpotBoyE, the "Kapoor and Sons" actress has high chances of bagging the lead in "Aashiqui 3." Sonam was a fierce competitor for the role but she announced that she wasn't doing the film. Deepika is busy honouring her professional commitments in the West, and Kangana is someone Hrithik isn't interested in working with.
Kangana and Hrithik's dust-up, after stories of their "secret affair" were flashed across publications, could be the reason behind the latter not wanting anything to do with her. "The top officials at T-Series were keen on getting Kangana on board. But when Hrithik told them clearly that he is not comfortable with her, they had no choice but to look for another actress," the entertainment portal quoted a source as saying.
In other news, Hrithik is prepping for Sanjay Gupta's "Kaabil," which also stars Yami Gautam. About a visually-impaired couple, the film focuses on love and revenge. The superstar has "Mohenjo Daro" lined up for release, but there are portions of the film that are still left to be shot.
Meanwhile, Alia is gearing up for family-drama "Kapoor and Sons," which releases on March 18. Second schedule of Gauri Shinde's film is what awaits her after she wraps up the gruelling promotional activities of her next. Alia intends to begin Ayan Mukerji's superhero film "Dragon" alongside Ranbir Kapoor by the end of this year.
