Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan, who is working for Karan Johar's forthcoming film "Agneepath," got injured on his back while doing an action sequence.
"The actor entered the hospital, visibly in a lot of pain. The doctors attended on him immediately," reported Zee News.
According to the report, Hrithik suffered injury after lifting a stuntman weighing around 110 kg. "Kar to diya lekin uske immediately baad uske back mein bahut dard hone laga, (Though he lifted the stuntman and completed the scene, he experienced terrible pain). Lifting 110 kilos of a man obviously put a lot of pressure on Hrithik's back," the news channel quoted a source as saying.
Meanwhile, the shooting for the film has been suspended as the doctor advised him to take complete bed rest for a fortnight.
The 37-year-old actor was taken to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai for treatment and latter taken an MRI scan.
2011 seems to be a year of injury for Bollywood actors. Last month, Amitabh Bachchan claimed chest injury while doing an action scene in Ram Gopal Varma's "Department."
Just a few days ago, his son and actor Abhishek Bachchan was also injured while shooting a chase sequence in Rohit Setty's forthcoming film "Bol Bachchan."
The film "Agneepath" is set to be release on Jan. 26, 2012.
