Hrithik Roshan, who has been busy shooting for his upcoming movie "Mohenjo Daro", has failed to keep a promise he had made to Shilpa Shetty.
Actress-turned-entrepreneur Shilpa launched her book on fitness on Thursday and Hrithik was one of the guests of honour at the event.
While Amitabh Bachchan, Varun Dhawan and Anil Kapoor were present at the event, Hrithik could not turn up as he was busy shooting for "Mohenjo Daro".
"Hrithik had promised Shilpa to be present at the launch, but since his morning shoot was delayed, he could not make it to the airport on time," Mid-Day quoted a source present at the book launch event as saying.
The report also quoted another source close to the "Mohenjo Daro" actor, suggesting that Hrithik tried his best to respond to Shilpa's invitation but could not due to unavailability of flights.
"He wanted to board the next flight, but unfortunately, it was available only in the evening. When he enquired about a private chartered flight service, he was told that securing permission would take a lot of time. So, he was forced to cancel his visit, but informed Shilpa about it," said the source.
Meanwhile, Shilpa herself confirmed the news and said that Hrithik made all efforts to be a part of the event but could not due to unforeseen circumstances.
