Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan's wax statue at Madame Tussauds' has been named among the "most kissed statues" in the museum.
According to a source, the actor has surpassed his Hollywood counterparts to emerge among the Top 10 "most kissed statues" in the world-famous London-based wax museum. The 37-year-old actor is waiting for official information from museum authorities. Incidentally, last year another Bollywood actor, Shah Rukh Khan, made it to the same list.
"Madame Tussauds' releases a list every year about the top 10 most kissed statues in the museum. Last year, SRK's statue was among the top 10," a source was quoted as saying, in DNA.
The report went to on to say that at least 20 per cent of the people who kissed the statue were men, with the rest of them being women under the age of 30.
"The girls and kids just love him and his popularity has been growing globally thanks to his reality show and also the fact that kids love him as "Krrish" and girls for his sex appeal. I think it is for the first time that a statue in its first year has been among the top 10 most kissed wax works," added the source.
"We have informed Hrithik and he is happy, but he won't react unless Madame Tussauds' officially informs him about it," said a member of the actor's staff to the media, when told about the honor.
