The legal war between Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut, who were rumoured to be dating, is heating up by the day. Hrithik and Kangana slapped legal notices on each other mid-March, Now, the latest reports suggest that the "Mohenjo Daro" actor has filed an FIR against an impostor and claimed that Kangana had been exchanging emails with the said person.
In December 2014, Hrithik had registered an FIR with Mumbai police's cyber crime department claiming that someone pretending to be the actor has been interacting with a fan. The actor did not reveal to the police that the fan was none other than Kangana, as he thought it would cause her inconvenience. But breaking his silence after one-and-a-half years, Hrithik told police that it was Kangana who was interacting with the impostor, Mid-Day reports.
After Hrithik's revelation, the cyber crime department in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai, summoned Kangana and her sister Rangoli in the matter. Kangana and her sister will now have to appear before the cyber crime cell within seven days of the summons being issued, Mid-Day reports.
"An FIR is filed under Section 66 (C, D) of IT Act and Section 419 of IPC. We have attached Hrithik's statement in the FIR. Thousands of mails have been exchanged between her and the said e-mail [ID]. Kangana's sister is a witness to the incident. So, her statement is important, too. Hrithik has claimed it is not his e-mail ID and an impostor was using it, while Kangana said it is Hrithik who was operating the said mail," a source from the cyber police told Mid-Day.
Hrithik came to know about the impostor in May 2014 at filmmaker Karan Johar's birthday party when Kangana told him that she received a mail from him appreciating her performance in the award-winning film "Queen." Hrithik, however, clarified to her that he had not sent any such mail. In December the same year, Hrithik filed a written application with the cyber crime regarding the same.
The mails exchanged between Kangana and the impostor contain intimate videos and chats, and to protect Kangana he did not mention her name in the 2014 complaint. However, he recently threatened her to make all information public if she did not apologise for tarnishing his image.
