Director Zoya Aktar of "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara" fame has reportedly roped in an ensemble cast for her next film which is based on a brother-sister relationship.
According to earlier reports, Zoya was said to have signed Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor for the lead roles in the film. The Kapoor cousins were roped in to play the brother- sister duo.
But recent reports said that Ranbir's date issues have forced Zoya to begin the project by replacing him with "Band Baaja Baraat" star Ranveer Singh.
Ranveer is believed to be quite excited to take up the project. "Ranveer missed out on working with Kareena in Ram Leela. This time he wants to make it work. Even if it means he does not get to play the romantic lead," a source told Mumbai Mirror.
With Ranbir being replaced, Ranveer is expected to take up the role of Katrina's love interest in the film.
Going by the rumours, Zoya's untitled film is based on her life with brother Farhan Akhtar. Although no formal announcement has been made on the plot or the lead cast of the movie, Kareena is expected to be paired opposite Hrithik Roshan.
Hrithik and Kareena had last shared screen space in 2003 film "Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon". They are also reportedly cast as the lead pair in Karan Johar's "Shuddhi", which is slated to release in 2014.
