Hewlett Packard (HP) India has slashed the price of its recently launched Slate 6 VoiceTab in the country.
The Slate 6 VoiceTab which was originally priced at ₹22,990 is now seen listed on the company website with a price tag of ₹19,990. The company launched the tablet in India back in February along with its Slate 7 VoiceTab.
To recapitulate, HP Slate6 VoiceTab sports 6-inch display with 720x1280 pixel resolution and is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Marvell PXA1088 SoC coupled with 1GB of RAM. It packs 16GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded upto 32 GB with mciroSD card and the tablet also support cloud storage of 25GB.
On the software front, HP voice calling tab runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and it houses 5.0-megapixel rear camera along with 2.0-megapixel front facing camera. The device supports connectivity features like 3G, Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi and GPS and comes loaded with 3000 mAh battery. Other features include G-sensor, gyroscope, e-compass, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.
Although the Slate7 VoiceTab price remains the same (₹16,990) on official site, other online retailers are selling the tablet at a discounted price. The e-retailer Saholic is retailing the tablet at a price point around ₹15,500.
The Slate7 sports a 1280x800p 7-inch IPS display and is shipped with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS out of the box. It houses 16GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 32GB with microSD card and comes powered by a 1.2GHz Marvell PXA1088 chip and 1GB RAM. It supports dual-SIM functionality with voice-calling and houses a 5.0-megapixel rear camera, along with 2.0-megapixel front-facing camera. On the connectivity front, Slate7 supports Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, Micro-USB, EDGE, GPRS and 3G. It comes loaded with 4100 mAh battery.
