HP has finally released their Stream 8 Windows tablet for Indian consumers. Released in the US last September, the Stream 8 will be available at a quoted price of ₹16,990. The new Windows tablet features essential 3G and WiFi and features middle range specifications.
Measured at 209x124x8.9mm the tablet weighs at 388g. The HP Stream 8 Tablet features an 8-inch WVA IPS anti-glare multi touch-enabled LED-backlit IPS display with a resolution support of 800x1200 pixels. It comes powered with an Intel Atom Z3735G Quad-Core processor running at 1.8GHz with in-built Intel HD graphics and 1GB worth RAM memory, 32GB eMMC storage with an micro SD slot for appending more memory.
The tablet also features a 5MP camera at the rear of the tablet. Another 2MP camera has been featured at the front to meet selfie clicking needs or for attending VOIP calls. Running on Windows 8.1 operating system, the Stream 8 tablet comes powered with a 4000 mAh battery. HP claims the battery will offer 8.2 hours of video playback, 8.55 hours of music and 8.30 hours of web browsing via WiFi connection.
HP Stream 8 also features the essential Micro SIM slot and supports networking standard including 3G HSPA+, 802.11b/g/n (1x1) and Bluetooth 4.0 LE combo. The Windows tablet also packs in the essential sensors including Accelerometer, G-Sensor, GPS and SAR.
