OnePlus X is the latest handset by the Chinese manufacturer OnePlus, and has grabbed a lot of attention lately. The handset is being sold via invites only, so it may be hard to get your hands on it right away. But for those who have already bought the OnePlus X smartphone and are willing to root it, here's a complete step-by-step guide to walk you through the process.

The process of rooting OnePlus X is simple, but requires you to carefully follow the given steps. Throughout this guide, we will walk you through the installation of TWRP on your OnePlus X smartphone. Since the handset runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, we must download and flash the SuperSU v2.46 and not the latest SuperSU v2.56, which is meant for Marshmallow ROMs.

[Disclaimer: Installing TWRP or rooting your OnePlus X will void the manufacturer warranty, which is otherwise valid for one year from purchase. Users must follow the steps correctly. In case the procedure goes wrong, there is a high possibility that your smartphone will be bricked. We, at IBTimes India, will not be held responsible for any damage to your handset.]
