As promised during the launch of its products last year, HMD Global has been releasing software update to its devices – right from flagships to entry-level handsets. After seeding Android 8.0 Oreo to the Nokia 5, Nokia 6, Nokia 7 and Nokia 8, the Finnish company is getting ready to push it out to the Nokia 3.
HMD Global's Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas has announced that Nokia 3 owners can now taste Android Oreo via its beta version. The announcement comes exactly a month after he hinted its arrival.
You can now get #AndroidOreo for #Nokia3 in #Nokiamobile #Betalabs. Please help us test and perfect for commercial release! Thank you ?

The Nokia 3 owners can join now Nokia Beta Labs to taste the new firmware.
What about the Nokia 2? When will it get Android Oreo update?
Well, the Finnish company hasn't revealed the exact date but Sarvikas has confirmed that the entry-level smartphone would receive the new firmware. Interestingly, he has said last month that the handset would get the Android 8.1 Oreo version directly and not the Android 8.0 Oreo version.
Also #Nokia2 but will go straight to 8.1 to get memory optimization features as it is a 1GB RAM device. #Nokia3 Beta Labs right around the corner.

It may be mentioned that Android 8.0 Oreo update comes with several new features, including new notifications, picture-in-picture mode, new emojis, faster boot, improved battery and enhanced camera besides fixing bugs.
