Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra recently launched her book, "The Great Indian Diet", and invited celebs, including Hrithik Roshan, Varun Dhawan, R Madhavan, Amitabh Bachchan and Anil Kapoor, to the launch event.

All of them arrived at the event to support the actress, except Hrithik.

The "Bang Bang" actor is currently busy shooting for Ashutosh Gowariker's "Mohenjo Daro". It might be the reason that he couldn't attend the event.

However, Hrithik found another way to mark his presence at the launch by placing his image with Shilpa and others, using Photoshop tool.

He posted the picture on 22 November, which is Shilpa and Raj Kundra's wedding anniversary.

On this, Shilpa replied, "Awww, @iHrithik you never fail to amaze me Really missed you @GreatIndianDiet launch but this is too sweet Thanku ."

It is said that the star was shooting for "Mohenjo Daro" in Bhuj and missed his flight to Mumbai.

"Hrithik had promised Shilpa to be present at the launch, but since his morning shoot was delayed, he could not make it to the airport on time," Mid Day quoted a source as saying.

"He wanted to board the next flight, but, unfortunately, it was available only in the evening. When he enquired about a private chartered flight service, he was told that securing permission would take a lot of time. So, he was forced to cancel his visit, but informed Shilpa about it."

Also, Shilpa herself confirmed the news and said that Hrithik made all efforts to be a part of the event, but could not due to unforeseen circumstances.
