How To Get Away With Murder season 3 is currently on a break and will return with episode 10 on January 19. The yet-to-be-titled sequel will unwrap the mystery behind Wes Gibbins's death and reveal the identity of Laurel Castillo's baby daddy.
Following the series of events in episode 9 (winter-finale), the new episode will feature some serious repercussions for Professor cum defence attorney Annalise Keating and her associates, Frank Delfino, Bonnie Winterbottom, Michaela Pratt, Asher Millstone and Connor Walsh.
While Viola Davis' character will be dealing with the legal charges and acquisitions against her for the demise of her favourite student, the young associates will be reeling over the death of their close friend and colleague.
Creator Peter Nowalk revealed that the immediate aftermath of the incident will be instantly blaming the female protagonist. "Obviously we'll answer that question for our characters really early after the fact," he added.
The executive producer even stated that the followers of How To Get Away With Murder season 3 will not have to wait for long to meet Wes' killer and find out more about Laurel's baby daddy. According to him, Karla Souza's character is devastated and grows up in a major way when the show returns with the second part of season 3.
"We're going to confirm it on the show when we come back, so people won't have to wait that long. It's very similar to who killed Lila. There will be surprises about who's done it, and there will be elements that aren't surprising," Entertainment Weekly quoted him as saying.
Meanwhile, cast member Alfred Enoch teased that the person behind Wes' death could be Frank or Charles Mahoney. According to him, he will be surprised if he finds out that Annalise killed him before the fire.
