"How To Get Away With Murder" will take its viewers to a court room drama when it returns on ABC with season 2 episode 2 titled "She's Dying" at 10pm on Thursday, 1 October.
The sequel, which will be live streamed here, portrays Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) as a powerful defence attorney even on the witness stand. When the protagonist is cross-examined by the prosecutor during detective Nate Lahey's (Billy Brown) preliminary hearing, she defends herself.
In a one-minute, 40-second-long trailer, Davis's character is seen saying, "I have at most respect for the court but not for this speculative, antagonising questions." She even alleges that the rival attorney is doing a witch hunt and calls her a bloody, foolish, amateur prosecutor.
For further details on the consequence of the professor's sudden temperament in court, fans will have to watch "How To Get Away With Murder" at 10pm on Thursday, 1 October.
The official synopsis of episode 2--titled "She's Dying"--read: "Annalise and her team are blindsided when investigators try to pin a new charge on the wealthy siblings she's been hired to represent."
The sequel might also focus on various efforts made by lawyer Eve Rothlow (Famke Janssen) to prove Lahey's innocence in Sam Keating murder case. Additionally, the flash-forward sequence may reveal more details about the protagonist's death.
Meanwhile, the followers of the crime drama have come up with their own theories on the shocking closure of premiere episode. Here are a few of them:
Ovelya Odeesho
Am I the only one who thinks that Annalise told her ex girlfriend about Wes and she convinced her to stop protecting him and he found out and went to shoot her or maybe one of the others did because they all were involved in Sam's murder?
Namea Mannah
I think it was one of the adopted kids that shot Annalise according to the picture on the wall, she's laying in their house bleeding and Wes might be chasing after one of them...
Jennifer Berstler Zacchini-Soranno
What about Nate? He said he'd get her. Do you think Nate could be the one who shot her? Followed her to the mansion while her and Wes were there working the case, Nate comes in and argues with Annalise, shoots her, Wes runs for his life and to get help. Could be, rabbit.......could be.
Louise Shivers
Maybe it's her dream/nightmare?
