Jailbreaking can be a tricky process and does not work the same for everyone. There are a lot of factors that go into play. If you have been trying to jailbreak your iOS device with Pangu's iOS Jailbreak tool and encountered infinite boot loop, here's how you can turn your iPhone back to normal. While most users have successfully managed to jailbreak their iPhones with the new tool, some have complained that their devices got stuck on Apple logo after the process.
This is kind of a tricky situation that puts your iPhone in an unusable state. The Pangu team has acknowledged the problem and developers are working on a fix. But there is no reason for you to keep waiting, as a Reddit user, Leyla232, came up with a fix for your problem.
Leyla232 listed the six steps of jailbreaking without getting stuck on Apple logo. Bidness Etc gave a further detailed instruction on how to go about the process and the step-by-step guide will walk you through it:
Download the right IPSW file:
Go to ipsw.me and select your device and download the right ipsw firmware file. Once the download completes, restore the iOS device with the firmware. Since the iDevice is stuck on Apple logo, iTunes will fail to recognise the device. So connect the device in DFU mode.
Enter DFU mode:
In order to enter DFU mode, hold down the Home and Power buttons exactly for 10 seconds. Release the Power button but continue to hold the Home button down. After about 20 to 30 seconds, the device will be detected by iTunes and you can release the Home button then.
Restore device:
Hold the Shift key on your keyboard and press the Restore button. When you get a pop up window, select the downloaded IPSW file and proceed to restore.
Setup your iDevice for Jailbreak:
Connect your iOS device to the Internet but skip all authentication steps including, Touch ID, Passcode and iTunes account details.
Initiate Jailbreak:
Once the device reboots past all the setup screens, turn on the Airplane mode before launching Cydia for the first time. Once Cydia is ready, turn off the Airplane mode, connect to the Internet and launch Cydia. Install Cydia Substrate tweak and wait for it to complete. The device will respring.
Restart (Crucial):
After completing the above steps, turn off the device by holding down the power button and sliding the power icon all the way to the right. Once the screen goes completely dark, turn the iDevice back on by holding down the Power and Home buttons simultaneously. Now, your device will boot normally without entering the infinite loop of boot screens.
