The house for the TV reality show Bigg Boss-5 has a sprawling 9000-square-foot area. The well-furnished house is located at Karjat in Raigad district of Maharashtra.
The stylish house, designed by Shayam Bhatia, is equipped with all the modern amenities.
The house has two bedrooms and four toilets/bathrooms and a garden, an activity area, a pool and a gym. There are no separate toilets/bathrooms for male and female contestants.
There is a confession room where the housemates can share their experiences with the Bigg Boss. They can also give their feedback and complaints to him, and take part in the nomination process too.
Unlike in the previous editions of the show, there is less room for privacy this time. The house is arranged in such a way that one can see the entire house, including the living room and the outdoors, from the entrance itself.
There are two living rooms for 14 contestants, but no separate room for males and females. (Season 4 of the show had enough drama since there was a single bedroom for 14 housemates.)
There is a separate room for the captain and a special bedroom for the guest.
There is no phone, no TV, no Internet, no clock and no pen or paper in the house.
Fifty five cameras are installed in different parts of the house, excluding the bathroom and toilets.
