WWE veteran William Regal is an integral part of the NXT setup, which is the developmental territory of the WWE. Knowing the business of the sports entertainment inside out, the Britisher has revealed that one thing that curious pro wrestling fans should NOT do, or lose the chance of possibly making it to the WWE.
Regal, 49, currently also a WWE chief scout, training the budding pro wrestlers in their development centre in Orlando, has been a 5-time WWF Hardcore Champion as well as a two-time WWE Intercontinental Champion.
"There are only so many wrestlers that can actually look and act the part, and do whatever they have to do in WWE, and that's a lesson to be learnt for a lot of wrestlers, you need to look the part," mentioned Regal in an exclusive interaction with British publication Metro.
"If you don't, there is very little chance of you making it here."
Current WWE superstars including Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks, Bayley, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens and more-or-less every NXT star who has been elevated to the WWE main roster in recent times, has come up under the tutelage and grooming of Regal.
"It doesn't matter how big you are, if you think you can act like an idiot and just not go to the gym or do anything, it's probably not going to work out for you," he continued.
"People will say certain guys never did this or that, but Kevin Owens did a tryout, Sami Zayn did a tryout. If you go to Japan, you have to do a tryout. There is always some form of something you have to do to get into a company.
"There is nobody above doing it."
