Akshay Kumar's "Housefull 3" continues its worldwide box office run. The film has so far minted Rs. 183.74 crore from its worldwide box office until its third weekend and now the film is approaching the Rs. 200 crore mark.
"Housefull 3" is the third film in the "Housefull" franchise. The film was received well worldwide and became the second highest grosser of 2016, after Akshay's "Airlift." The film even shattered the records of Shah Rukh Khan's "Fan" in India.
And now "Housefull 3" is all set to take its worldwide box office collection to the Rs. 200 crore mark. In India, the comedy-drama grossed Rs. 147.53 crore (Rs. 106.22 crore nett). The film has surpassed the lifetime box office collection of the second instalment in the "Housefull" series – "Housefull 2" – and is all set to break Ajay Devgn's "Golmaal 3" records.
"#Housefull3 [Week 3] Fri 65 lacs, Sat 92 lacs, Sun 1.45 cr. Total: ₹ 106.22 cr. India biz," trade analyst tweeted the 17-day box office collection of "Housefull 3."
The film also had a good run at the overseas box office. In 17 days, "Housefull 3" minted Rs. 36.24 crore from the overseas box office and it continues to mint money from the international market.
Directed by Sajid-Farhad, the film features Akshay, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lisa Haydon, Nargis Fakhri in the lead roles. The film also features Chunky Pandey, Jackie Shroff and Boman Irani in pivotal roles.
