Akshay Kumar has a string of films lined up for release and even more offers to choose from. Omung Kumar's next is apparently one of them.
According to a Box Office India report, the "Housefull 3" star has apparently liked the script but he awaits a complete narration. Once he approves of it, the team will begin pre-production work and the film will roll sometime next year.
Akshay's previous attempt at a psychological thriller was Nagesh Kukunoor's "8 X 10 Tasveer" in 2009.
The last bit of the information is in contrast with what Omung said a few weeks ago. "I am doing a psychological-thriller next. I have already written it. The film will go on floors this year. It is a fantastic thriller which will be an actor's dream role. It won't be a female-oriented film though," the Press Trust of India quoted the filmmaker as saying.
Meanwhile, there's Neeraj Pandey's satirical comedy "Toilet – Ek Prem Katha" that the actor may take up. It focuses on Narendra Modi's ambitious Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Akshay has also expressed an interest in doing an adult comedy, however, it was only a passing comment.
The "Khiladi" star's "Housefull 3" is doing well at the ticket-window. He is happy, but isn't laying low.
Akshay is gearing up for "Rustom" promotions, which arrives in theatres the same day as Hrithik Roshan's "Mohenjo Daro." He has to wrap up portions of "2.0," in which he plays an evil scientist and a powerful antagonist to Rajinikanth's Chitti (the robot). "Namastey England" with Sonakshi Sinha is another film on the cards, but that doesn't begin until August.
"Oh My God" sequel, " Jolly LLB 2," "Awara Pagal Deewana 2" and "Welcome 3" are some of the other films which he needs to take a call on.
