Akshay Kumar is ready with "Housefull 3" and the actor feels that it is a safer film and will break the records of "Airlift," which made it to the coveted 100-crore club. He calls the franchise film a safer one because it's entertaining.
Talking to Catch News, the star said how the film will earn by selling its satellite rights. "Also, a lot of money comes in through the satellite rights being sold (of Housefull 3). It (Housefull 3) is quite a satellite friendly film," he further elaborated.
Clearly, the actor is confident about the film doing well at the box office and feeling positive about it. And yet, he says he will lose all the respect he had earned with his performance in "Airlift."
"It has never mattered [to me] what I have worked on in the past; I just know that now it is time to make people laugh. I've already been forgotten for Airlift, as people only want to know what's next," he told the Hindustan Times, adding that he may not be the greatest actor but is definitely one of the versatile ones.
This isn't the first time that the actor has said that "Housefull 3" will make a dent on the rep he earned by essaying character roles. While promoting the comic caper on "The Kapil Sharma Show" he said the same that critics will probably shoot him down for taking up the franchise film after delivering some impressive performances.
Directed by Sajid-Farhad, "Housefull 3" opens in theatres on June 3 and stars Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Farkhri, Lisa Haydon, Jackie Shroff and Boman Irani in key roles.
