Hong Kong pro-independence lawmakers storm council chamber despite ban
Yau Wai-ching and Baggio Leung defied a barring order preventing them from entering Hong Kongs Legislative Council on 26 October. The president of the Chinese-ruled citys Legislative Council banned the pro-independence pair as at their swearing-in oaths there was language and a banner that was deemed derogatory to China. Thousands of pro-Beijing loyalists rallied outside the legislature to condemn the pro-independence lawmakers.
