Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, the country's second largest two wheeler manufacturer, claims to have sold more than 50,000 units in a single day, riding high on auspicious buying during Ganesh Chaturthi and Vishwakarma Jayanti.
The company registered retail sales of 56,000 on 17 September, over 40% higher than last year.
To boost the sale of Honda models this year, the company has also announced a special CB Shine scheme for this festive season. Under the scheme, Honda offers the world's highest selling motorcycle - CB Shine - for a down payment of Rs 5,999 and EMIs starting at Rs 999. The special offer will be available though out the festive season of this year.
