If the emerging reports are anything to go by, the upcoming Honda Navi mysterious two-wheeler is the company's attempt to set foot in a new bike-scooter crossover segment in India. Honda has already embarked on the promotional campaign for the new Navi model, which will see the light of the day at the Auto Expo 2016.
Although Honda has hinted the arrival of a new two-wheeler Navi through teaser images online, the company has so far kept the details of the new model under wraps. Now, a report of The Economic Times Auto claims that the Navi is a crossover of bike-scooter in India that will be developed in India for the Indian market.
The Navi, which is internally being called K74, will target the young trendsetters in India and is the first project to be undertaken by Honda's new R&D division. Honda's new Navi will be manufactured at the company's Manesar facility in Haryana, added the report. The recent teaser image of Navi read, "Who knows what it will be?" adding, "Whatever it is, it's fun." Honda has teased 'Navi' before, in the company's New Year greetings, posted on social media forums.
The Navi will be one of the main attractions of Honda at India's biggest auto carnival, Auto Expo 2016, which will be held in Greater Noida in the first week of February. At the Auto Expo 2016, Honda's pavilion will showcase 10 new models that include six new launches and four concept models.
