Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) Pvt Ltd launched its new two-wheeler Navi in the domestic market at the Auto Expo 2016 at Rs 39,500 (ex-showroom Delhi). The Japanese two-wheeler-manufacturer also opened booking for the Navi Feb. 3. One month after the ,launch the two-wheeler crossover has garnered over 900 bookings.
A report in IndianAutosBlog confirmed the company has received over 900 booking via its Navi App. The report also says 15,000 Honda Navi App downloads (in Android platform) have been recorded so far. The delivery of the Navi is expected to begin in April this year.
Honda Navi, the first product to be conceived, designed, developed and validated in India by Honda's R&D department, is powered by a 109cc four-stroke SI engine that churns out 7.83bhp of power at 7,000rpm and 8.96Nm of peak torque at 5,500Nm.
In terms of dimensions, the Navi measures 1,805mm in length, 748mm in width, 1,039mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 1286mm. It has a kerb weight of 101kg and gets a fuel tank of 3.8 litres. The Navi gets telescopic suspension in the front and hydraulic suspension in the rear.
The Navi, which is styled to look like a bike with the convenience of a scooter, will be offered in three variants — Street, Adventure and Off-road. It comes in five colour options — red, green, white, orange and black.
