Renault's upcoming MPV Lodgy has been spied undergoing testing in India ahead of its possible launch in early 2015, this time giving a sneak peak at the interior of the car.
Renault has been testing its Lodgy in the country for quite some time now and the spy photographers have managed to catch the vehicle on the camera before too. But this time, the latest spy shots by Anything-on-wheels are quite intriguing, as it gives a closer look at the interior of the MPV along with the clear picture of the styling and design of the car.
Judging from the spy shots, Lodgy, which follows in the footsteps of MPV looks absolutely massive with its elongated wheelbase. Although in the pictures, Lodgy MPV is seen hiding under heavy camouflage, the models appear to have borrowed some styling elements from its international counterparts.
In the images, one can also see the tail lamps, headlights and new alloy wheels. The car is expected to have a roomy and sporty interior and is likely to get features like three-spoke steering wheel, circular AC vents, dual-tone dashboard and center armrest for rear passengers. Also one can expect it to accommodate parking sensors and reverse camera.
Not much is known about the car as of now, but Renault MPV has already been confirmed for a 2015 release. According to the emerging reports, the French auto maker is likely to present its MPV offering to Indian fans early next year.
The car's power is likely to come from 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine in two states of tune - 85 PS and 110 P and is expected to get a manual transmission. Talking about the price, the new Lodgy MPV is likely to cost around ₹8 - ₹11 lakh in India and when launched, the car will rival Honda's new Mobilio, Maruti Ertiga, Toyota Innova, Chevrolet Enjoy and upcoming Datusn Go +.
